Target practice

Sunday 25th June 2017 (1765)

After the morning service we had a quick lunch then went out on the bikes for a gentle ride exploring the Sankey Valley trail. We started near Haydock and cycled to Burtonwood. Most of it was easy cycling but for a cycle track they certainly had a full range of different gates across the track that were not cycle friendly. There was also one section where there were quite a few slalom barriers in quick succession, testing our balance and control!

There was no target destination, it was simply to see what the trail was like - the extra shows some of the scenery. After 8.5 miles we went in search of an ice cream. Just after that the giant tried a bit of target practice, with Huddsbird being on the bullseye. Thankfully he missed!

We enjoyed the 17 mile round trip and then returned home for a BBQ. A great weekend, I could get used to this!
