More boys and their toys on Mote Lake

A pleasant walk through Mote Park on the was to the garden centre for the monthly free coffee. Came across these magnificent models on the lake, much better than the noisy boy racers on a Saturday. These models are superb, often built from scratch.

Had my birthday lunch when we returned home. Shame our friend Rosemary could be there, however, we enjoyed a selection of cheese, biscuits and accompaniments ending with cake.

A relaxing afternoon, with a snooze, potting on my chillies and dealing with side shoots on the tomatoes. Had a lovely FaceTime call with Chris and DIL (Daughter in Law) in California. Then out to Prezzo's for birthday dinner. We don't often go out for birthdays preferring to prepare a special meal at home so this made a change. Very nice it was too.

People had put some real thought into the birthday cards; choosing designs that reflected my interests: railways, mountains, canal boats, the Lakes and the Celts and I had some excellent gifts too. All in all, a very satisfactory day.
