First Monarch ...

... of the season. 

I had something planned for Silly Saturday today but when I saw the first Monarch butterfly of the season in my back yard I just had to blip her! (I have identified her as a female based on the fact that there are no black spots on the hind wing. Males have such a spot. And the female also has thicker wing veins.)

My Silly Saturday will have wait until next week!  Unless something else comes along!
