A journey through song

We watched a talented singer and her exuberant orchestra last night. Through her singing and storytelling, she took us around different provinces in India, spoke about some of the regional traditions, differences and the meaning of the songs which she sang in 12 languages. Her orchestra members were individually and collectively fantastic and looked like they were having a lot of fun. The tabla player was a standout talent.
