HMS Bristol - Portsmouth

HMS Bristol (D23) is a Type 82 destroyer, the only vessel of her class to be built for the Royal Navy in 1973. A veteran of the Falklands War, HMS Bristol is now a training and accommodation ship permanently berthed at Whale Island in Portsmouth.
This shot was taken late evening as we sailed past on our overnight ferry to St. Malo.
I'm not sure how (ir)regular my blipping and commenting will be over the next couple of months, as we are heading away from reliable internet access. This shot now appears a bit grainy - I've had to reduce the file size so much :-(
(It makes you realise how much we have been become accustomed to it and take it for granted.)
