Sapphire

For our very first holiday abroad, a few months after I took early retirement we went walking in Nepal. There were a number of shops in Kathmandu which sold unmounted gemstones, and to remind us of the holiday we bought a pair of pink sapphires which were later made into ear rings for Redilady. One eventually was lost at the charity shop where she's a volunteer, a new pair was bought and the remaining one made into a pendant. Some years later the shop was renovated and the missing ear ring found under a threshold strip. As it couldn't be left idle it was made into a finger ring . So now she has a matching set of sapphire jewellery,  by accident!

I think this meets both Isbi's requirements for  TinyTuesday - Jewellery or something special.
