Nappy Pin

This giant nappy pin now stands where once stood the Glasgow Maternity Hospital, birthplace to millions of 20th Century Glaswegians including my two oldest. It's a great memorial to the Rotten Row as it was called on account of that being the address, but also a shame that this amazing building was flattened so soon after maternity services moved to the Queen Elizabeth hospital just up the road where the next 3 of mine were born. I'm sure they could have turned it into a museum of midwifery or something. This is a striking sculpture though.
