Jewelry: Tiny Tuesday109

These are not the flashiest jewelry I own, but they have meaning. This tiny diamond cluster is my engagement ring. It was quite the splurge in the late seventies, costing around $350. ( About what we had between us when we married in 1979.) My fingers swell now and I have trouble wearing it, but it is a treasure. I wore the two gold bands in our wedding as my "something old." My grandmother was born in 1900. One of these bands is her wedding band, dated 1925. The other is her mother's band, dating before 1900. I wear these bands everyday. To me, they somehow represent steadiness, strength, and the power of unending love. Maybe one day the Li'l Fire Ant will wear them. :-)
