Elf and safety

We have walked across this concrete bridge for over 40 years, it is over very shallow brook. In the last week these wooden sides have been erected, hope it doesn't get vandalised.
Extra is one of about four butterflies we came across, only this one was still - Tedwin has far better picture.
Where has Summer gone, virtually no rain at all just very cool.
