Day 19 - Saturday work

In line with the tradition of joiners working on Saturdays, today was a working day if not until the evening.

Forgot to mention yesterday that the middle of three chimneys has been removed. It is the old oil fired central heating chimney which has been redundant since 2005 when we moved the central heating from the cellar to the ground floor and replaced it with a wood pellet system which uses the shiny new stainless steel outdoor chimney on the left side of the top photo.

Work has also started on the front side of the house. With the weather at last due to be good for a few days, one of the experienced and very hard working young lads has to spend his time doing the first cut of silage and then preparing and sowing the maize fields. So progress will slow down a bit.next week.
