Crawley crow

I wondered why there are statues of crows in the centre of Crawley, and when I looked it up I discovered the area was originally, in Saxon times, named  "Crow's Leah" - meaning  a crow-infested clearing. There are still plenty crows hopping around on the High Street, and I thought this chap looked nicer than the statues :)
