Recess comes round again

So the summer recess comes round again - complete with yet another downpour in Edinburgh . June is on course to be a record wet month in the capital and it looked pretty drench this morning.

But the final day of the term is always enjoyable, with lots to pack in but also lots to look to forward to. Over the next few weeks I will be in and out of Edinburgh quite often but I will also be on Mull, Iona , Bute and Colonsay and in Dunoon and Oban. Once the working day is over the final day of term also sees lots of MSPs and staff having a drink in the Parliament bar before heading off home.

Tonight some of the members of the SNP Group and those they work with were in there getting ready for a "hen night" to celebrate the impending wedding of Mairi Evans, the MSP for Angus North and Mearns. The ones in my extra photo insisted that they be blipped, so here they are....
