A new crop

It seems this field has recently been weeded showing that the farmer has planted what appears to be a celery type crop... could it be celeriac?.. it seems awfully small for this time of year.. so we will watch in interest.
This is being grown in the field where the farmer ploughed in a large quantity of building waste this last spring... it was totally illegal to do so but he got away with it Scot free.. makes my blood boil! (still!)  l am watching his every move to make sure he doesn't do anything so irresponsible again.. and get away with it.
