The Dragonfly Directive

I know it is Flower Friday, but you are familiar with the Heron Rule, the Hawk Asterisk, the Egret Exception and so on----it just so happens that there is also a Dragonfly Directive which requires me to share this shot of a Male Widow Skimmer with you.  It's a good thing he is a handsome guy and that he was the most cooperative dragonfly that I have ever tried to photograph.  Perhaps, I will be allowed to return you to your regularly scheduled flowers next week----but you never know what might be lurking out there in the fields along the creek..........!
