An interesting find

This is a shot of one of the finds at this week's dig. I'm reliably informed it is a jeton - a counter or token, it's mediaeval and it's German. Wouldn't it be great to know how it got to where it was found! Today was our open day and lots of visitors came to take a look at the trenches and the finds. Fortunately the sun shone and it felt like summer.
