Warped Banksia

Gorgeous Grandson and I have just returned from the village pond where he climbed a Banksia tree and retrieved this distorted, spent Banksia flower.  It had grown jammed against a limb so never grew into its typical large cylindrical shape.  The "navel", which you can see clearly, is where GG broke the flower from the stem. It is actually bent and protruding from one side, although it isn't obvious here.
