Serengeti

Fall.

Fall is by far the loveliest time of the year,
when I think of it.
Just close your eyes,
and think of Fall,
what a picturesque scene.
Fall thoughts are enough to bring tears to my eyes.
I could cry warm apple cider.

Feel the whispers of wind in your ears,
across your nose,
and through the thick wool of your hand knitted scarf.
Absorb the warmth of an oversized sweater in the rain.
Inhale the crisp autumn air, so fresh,
and exhale spices.

Fall is pumpkin carving,
sharing candy apples,
and snuggling up with good books in warm blanket fort sanctuaries,
where candles are your only guard
against the Goblins & Ghouls.
Rolling through orange, red, and brown
falling leaves on the walk home.
Freezing fingertips on hot mugs,
breathe in Fall.
