Anzio - Bygone Days

A walk long the far end of Anzio's promenade gives you a glimpse of the splendour of bygone days.

The Paradiso sul Mare (main and first extra) is a the five-story art nouveau completed in 1924. It's beautiful rooms were destined to house the city's casino which was never opened.

The Tirrena (2nd extra) is an old style promenade pier that has recently been restored and houses a restaurant as well as acting as the focal point on a large stretch of beach.

Hopefully someone will come up with the cash to restore the Paradiso sul Mare to it's former glory as it's too grand a building to waste away.
