Family outing...

It's been a good year so far for the pond life.  Moorhen plus 4 chicks have survived, they're as big as mother now and lead independent lives although they are often seen together.

The fox put paid to last years breed of ducks but today Mother, father and 8 ducklings were cruising the pond.  

So far, so good...
