Went to Tonfanau, yesterday to watch the motorbike racing. It's like racing used to be, in the 1970s; grass paddock and classes for every sort of bike. Once a year, stars of today and of years gone by, come along to parade the bikes that they used to race. John McGuinness, ( 23 times TT winner ) was there, complete with the " scaffolding " on his leg, as a result of an horrendous crash at the North West 200, in May. His consultant has got to grow his leg, by 3 inches, over the next 8 months ! Had a good chat with him, he's a lovely bloke. This is the electric bike that he won the TT on in 2015, at a lap record speed of 119.279 mph ! Too quiet, though !
