Goodbye Swami Omkarananda

A diminutive lady Swami (see extra), dressed in the orange robes of her monastic order, left her earthly body yesterday. Despite her recent 2 years in a home, as she could no longer cope with the demands of modern life, she was a formidable character. 30 years ago her teaching gave me stability when I was going off the rails with grief. Having left Switzerland for 2 years, I returned to do yoga teacher training with her as I had not found the same quality of teaching in GB. A hard task master, on both her pupils and herself, she cared deeply for truth and gave of herself without question. In recent times she had softened with forgetting, she just knew that you were her friend and that she was loved. "Thank you Swamiji, may you fly freely, with joy, towards your destiny."
