Tattered

Despite missing a wing and half its tail, this swallowtail was quite ably fluttering around the buddleia. Blipped on the way back from the first swim of the year. I was quite surprised I managed 20 lengths without succumbing to hypothermia.

Later, after going shopping, I made two loaves of bread, two cakes, and supervised two large trays of escalivade. Plans are afoot ...

And we ended the day with rosé and big plates of salad in the garden, shouting over the racket of the cigales. Twenty years ago today we spent our last night in our house in the UK. Lots of water under the bridge since then!
