seabirds

The building you can see here is the Scottish Seabird centre at North Berwick, and the children have just had a lesson from one of its staff about food chains, right here on the beach.

D and I were here with the Dunscore Birdwatching Group, for a boat trip to Bass Rock, where there is a huge gannet colony. We also went to visit a nature reserve at Aberlady and the headquarters of the Scottish Ornithology Club.

Colin did a superb job of driving the bus, and getting me back in the nick of time so that I could go into Dumfries to play drums with the Samba Sisters, as guests of the Rotary Club. It's been a busy but very enjoyable day, and I'm going to wait until tomorrow to process the rest of my photos.
