and sometimes I just sits..." ? A.A. Milne

I had to take little Rosie into the vets this morning, it started yesterday with a tummy upset, so i took her to the vets thinking somethings not right.
The vet said nothing to worry about just gastro. So i took her home still not feeling comfortable with that, but thought i'll just keep an eye on her.
Come 6 p.m she really wasn't with it and to be honest i thought a little delirious so i rang the vets explained to the receptionist and asked if the vet could call me back. He clearly thought i was just an over protective owner and got the receptionist to ring me and said just leave her be, to rest. I did almost take her to stay over night but thought she would probably be better at home for the time being, so we had a night of being up and down checking she was ok.
This morning though she was no better and seemed to be getting worse quite floppy glazed eyes not really knowing where she was. Rang vets and got an appointment with one of the more experienced vets who i've known for years, just typical our own vet on holiday. She said oh dear she's really not herself is she and straight away said she needed to be admitted and put on fluids to get her body temperature up.
I left her there, feeling very sad, but she really had no idea where she was!! I rang them at mid day they've said she has a really high white cell count which indicates infection and her kidney results were slightly out which may indicate urine infection, the fluids do seem to be making her a little bit brighter, At least she's in the right place and i trust the vet looking after her to do all she can!!

As i felt so bad i took Rex on a 5 mile hike round Milton Keynes, walked to my favourite spot pictured here and just sat!! Certainly took my mind off stuff and Rex's, although he does seem to be making the most of being the only one, using it to his full advantage.

Update little Rosie is home now all snuggled up with Rex and eating, drinking and more importantly wagging her tail. Got to go back in the morning just to check her over and make sure she's ok and doesn't need more fluids. SO fingers crossed she's fine!!!
