More birds nest fungi

I arrived at work in the dark this morning, and arrived home in the dark tonight.  That's actually fairly normal for this time of year, as we're not far past the shortest day.

As I was leaving work I thought about blip so went via the back door, knowing just where to find some birds nest fungi.  I scooped up a little clump and bought them home to photograph in the light.  

They are now living outside in my garden - where I hope they'll breed rapidly - giving me a handy blip subject when needed.
