The Lozarithm Lens

Caen Hill (Saturday 1st July 2017)

I had a number of things to do in the Devizes and Melksham areas so obviously I called in at the locks to check on the swan family (and buy an ice cream) and sit reading beside the canal. I didn't see the swans again though I gather they are fine, so I photographed this rose bush, being careful to include a lock gate in the background to show I wasn't in my own garden.

Julian Cope - Autogeddon Blues (1994)
R.I.P. Heathcote Williams (15 November 1941, Helsby, Cheshire - 1 July 2017, Oxford)
According to the album Armageddon's sleeve notes, written by Cope, this was "inspired by Heathcote Williams' epic poem of the same name and a little incident concerning my pregnant wife (and myself) and £375,000 of yellow Ferrari in St. Martin's Lane, London, England."
