The past

Normally hidden behind photo frames and flowers is my great grandfathers clock given to him when he retired from the London Metro Police Force in 1906.

It works but is not wound as the chimes annoy my dearest but when ever I look at this I think of the past and my grandfather and wonder what times were like then.

On another note I would like to take this opportunity to wish my mum a speedy recovery from her operation which she had yesterday and hope that she will be home to start her recuperation tomorrow. Will not mention what age she is now but she will be 80 next year.
