Homage to the Homage

In continuance of this week's ART THEME . . .
This was my first EVER painting, inspired by and created after "The Homage" art show at River's Edge Gallery in Wyandotte, Michigan.

I chose this image because upon entering the two-floor, open, brightly lit gallery, with art splashed on every surface, and crowded with friends and patrons - I felt like Dorothy when she entered the Emerald City, in the Wizard of Oz.

After blogging about the show, I then gifted this painting to the gallery's owner and avid art collector, Patt Slack, in appreciation for a wonderful conversation and a great art show. She called the gift, "brave". lol
