What I've Done

Watendlath tarn

Second day of our "limited walking" workshop today, so a first stop at Ashness bridge, including a view over Derwentwater, where we also found an amazing array of Honey Fungus, which you cab see here.

Made our way up to Watendlath for lunch. and spent the afternoon there - a great mix of weather, offered us sun, rain, and almost everything inbetween. I took this from a low viewpoint at the edge of the tarn, using a 0.6 hard edged ND grad and a lee filters big stopper (10 stop ND filter) which allowed me a shutter speed of 30 seconds. The only unpleasant part was the amount of care needed to avoid the fresh (and old) dog poo lying all around the edge of the tarn. I saw two dogs messing whilst the owners watched, then walked off, sadly, they were out of "respectable" earshot.
