This is J, who's just got back to our bags after I'd lead a stupid and horrible VDiff route at Stanage North aka High Neb.  It's not always the case, but certainly a lot of the lowest grade routes seem (to me, and to J who has a great deal more experience than I have) to be much more difficult than they should be. 

So after that VDiff, a Diff and a Mod - and there really wasn't much to choose between any of them, they were all awkward, I lead a Severe which was really rather nice.  The guidebook just gave it a S but when I entered it on UKC it came up as S4a, but I've no idea which move the 4a was for... but who cares, it was enjoyable!
