In the midst of life...

This poor little fella was lying by the side of the road when Lucy and I were out for our walk this morning. I think it might be a juvenile redshank, it was certainly close to where they nest. Anyone know different?

Lovely news today – it seems a portrait I took last year is going to be used as an author photo in a book coming out this autumn. Smashing.
