Over the roof tops

What a difference a day makes, today blue skies, a long walk with Milo today to make up for his very short walk yesterday.
I took this photo from the roof of the old lime kiln that was uncovered when the developers developed the land here in Mindarie in 2001.
The Cooper family operated on the Kiln from 1932 until 1938, in the middle of the depression it provided some folk with a little employment, its unusual to have uncovered this Kiln here so close to the ocean, it is thought perhaps they took advantage of the sea breezes to fan their fire?
The Kiln is fenced off now for safety reasons, but its nice to think we still have a bit of the past in our suburb.
