Got to love The Kelpies! Always there for an Emergency Blip when all else fails.

Met some former work colleagues in Glasgow for lunch on Thursday, but wasn't particularly inspired when it came to taking photos on the way there or back. (Nearly ended up taking a photo of the buses at Buchanan Bus Station as some men - it always seems to be men - were doing as the traffic entered and left. But managed to put that fleeting thought out of mind rather quickly.)

Back home, and much later in the day, remembered that Her Majesty had been along at The Kelpies on Wednesday, and so I ventured along to see if I could see any vestiges of that visit - a wee plaque, some bunting, a misplaced knighthood or suchlike - but it was if she had never been there.

So, Blipfoto has to make do with a shot of The Kelpies (and an extra) from across the canal. They are not eating the grass, of course, but let's pretend they are just for the sake of this photo's title. Told you I was desperate!
