Disappointment

More than 226,000 people applied by ballot for tickets to walk across the Queensferry Crossing before it opens to traffic but there are only 55,000 tickets available. (Once the bridge is open pedestrians will not use this bridge but continue to use the Road Bridge). We learned today that our application was not successful.
However, it appears that, as successful applications must be confirmed, there may well be drop-outs, possibly as much as 40%, and those tickets will be re-balloted.
So there is still a chance that we may join the other 49,997 pedestrians on that historic occasion.
