Ruddy darter

Another dragonfly on our pond.  I think it is a male ruddy darter.  It was certainly darting around a lot, and difficult to catch in one spot.

It's back to hot and muggy again today.  Several different dragonflies on the pond.  Another Emperor dragonfly spent several hours laying eggs.  And a female darter - may also have been a ruddy, but if she was, she was having nothing to do with this guy.

After lunch, we went for a walk around High Ash Farm.  Back in the spring, I blipped an oak tree - TonyG thought it looked half dead.  We walked past it today, and it is definitely quite healthy, though there are some dead branches in the middle - see extra.
