The Spinner

Sue spends her summers on the remote Great Blasket Island off the coast of the Dingle Peninsula. She spins wool and makes lovely hats to sell to the visitors. Her local knowledge about the island, it's wildlife and history is fascinating. We are here for three days staying in the hostel, back to basics with no internet or electricity. It's only a 30minute crossing from the pier at Dunquin but crossing that small body of water takes one into another world all together.
