The Bayfield Bird Walk

This morning W & I met up with Blipper Bom and GracieG's husband M (sadly Gracie was unable to join us) and did the Bayfield Bird Walk, a lovely walk of around three miles through very varied countryside. We saw lots of birds, butterflies, dragonflies etc., and M's greater knowledge than mine of the different species really added to the walk. There was also a very nice rustic cafe in the woods part way round so the obligatory Blipmeet coffee and cake was not omitted from the day. I wasn't sure which of two flower shots to post but W preferred this one, so I've added the other as an extra together with three other pictures from the walk; a pig farm, a lake view, and Blippers on a bridge over a ford.

After a bit of food shopping in town, a quick visit to a potential property purchase and a picnic lunch near the beach at Salthouse we headed back home again; a surprisingly good journey which only took two and a half hours. We have had a good few days and were sad to leave, but we know we will be back, and hopefully soon.
