Mama hummingbird at rest

Mama Hummer was resting, but also had her eye out for this youngster. She was determined to chase him from her territory.It seems to be a day to day battle.

We did some pruning of overgrown bushes this afternoon on a day that was supposed to be rainy. It was lovely, but it does suddenly look a bit like rain now

This day came in sunny and warm.
