Lyra Constellation (262/366)

These are stars from the Lyra constellation. The bright one in the centre is Vega, 25 light years away, one of the brightest stars in the northern hemisphere. To the left is Lyra itself, 155 light years off. To the right is Alathfar, which is a chunky 439 light years from here, and down near the bottom is Hercules.

Strangely, the one nearest the top is not named, only classified as HIP 92926. It's a massive 779.4 light years away.

Now that autumn is upon us and the nights are drawing in, astrophotography is once again within the reach of people who need to go to bed at a reasonable hour!
