Jewels in the woods

After all the rain and a little warmth, the fungi are beginning to fruit. These little jewels are, I think,  Hygrocybe coccinea - the Scarlet Waxcap or Scarlet Hood. 
Waxcaps are usually quite moist fungi and thus the generic name Hygrocybe means 'water head' while the specific epithet coccinea means, believe it or not, bright red.
