Conduit House Coombe

Not my usual type of image today, this English Heritage site only opens for 2hrs one day a month in the summer. It was built on the top of a hill in the 16th century to collect and supply water to Hampton Court Palace. There were three built in the area, this one being the best preserved. The water traveled along a underground lead pipe for 5km to Hampton Court. The left image shows the best preserved of the two buildings. The one on the right is of the underground passage 25m long connecting the two buildings.
