Juxtaposition

J for juxtaposition and it is my entry in today's Wide Angle Wednesday.
The Department of Lands Building was completed in 1892.  It is currently occupied by the office of Environmental Heritage. In the late 1980s there was talk of turning this building into a casino but a permanent conservation order was passed to protect the building from unsympathetic development.  
The Colonial Architect, James Barnett, was responsible for a series of beautiful sandstone public buildings in the late 19th century.
