The Lottery

Last day, after 12 years.

I've been very privileged to work there.

And I'm thrilled to tackle the new role ahead.

But perhaps I will miss that moment in taxis when the driver asks, "what do you do yourself hen?"

You say your bit. Wait a beat.

"Have you got the numbers for Saturday night?"

And you laugh like you never heard that one before.
