A Special Visit

Today, I had a lovely visit from some VIPs -- my lovely daughter-in-law, and two grandsons Elliott and Henry!  As it was stiflingly hot and humid, we spent a good part of the afternoon down by/in the pool. 

Elliott loves the water, and spent a happy time splashing about with his Poppy while Henry, Kristin and I talked under the shade of the pergola.  (No getting wet allowed for me, sadly ...)  Henry has discovered his feet recently, and is quite enamoured of them!  At one point, Kristin took him in to the water to cool off, but as you can tell from the expression on his face, Henry is not yet a fan of the pool!

Can't think of a nicer way to spend the afternoon!
