Abergavenny Castle trying to look ominous

It's not the most impressive of castles, but it was here the ill-mannered William de Braose invited a local Welsh chieftain and his chaps to Christmas dinner in 1175. As was only polite, the guests left their weapons outside, and while they were stuffing themselves on turkey and cranberry sauce and wearing silly paper hats (or whatever they ate and did in those days), William de Braose's men came in and murdered the lot of them. No way to treat guests! There were repercussions, needless to say...
