Health and Safety

I have been taking images for quite a few years. After the demise of both parents I inherited my childhood photo's. Taken on a succession of basic cameras including my dad's Box Brownie they reflect not only my childhood thoughts and experiences, but also the freedom we now have. In those days we pressed the shutter and waited a week for the chemist to develop the film. Today its instant.
This set from June 1965 depicts the Cameronians (The Royal Scottish Rifles) conducting a live mortar firing exercise in Motherwell Park. Not the best photo's I have ever taken to be honest.
The regiment was disbanded shortly after this photo was taken. I have often wondered why.
