Very glad to see him coming to the bird feeders today.  If he's the same one as last year then he is a little shyer so I had to get a shot of him through the kitchen window. 

It's been a bit of a mixed day weather-wise still very warm but where we went this afternoon for a trip on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway after a heavy cloudburst the sun came out and we had a great journey - we chose a steam engine, of course.  We love them and came home covered in smuts and with that unforgettable smell lingering in our nostrils and the haunting sound of the whistle.

50 years ago today my #1 daughter was born in the Military Hospital, Kowloon, Hong Kong.  Happy Birthday Lucy and where do the years go??
