Our government dollars at work.....

The blip community has a new challenge: Public servants at work.
Here we have our lifeguards at work.
Hurricane Eugene from Mexico is hitting the shores here in Southern California with large waves 5-8 foot sets and as large as 10 feet. That brings out large crowds to the beach. Last week-end the life guards rescued approx. 194 people in one little town. The waves create a rip current and that makes swimming here very dangerous. You can go ankle deep in the water, a wave comes and takes the sand underneath your feet away and you fall down, then the next wave will hit you etc. etc.
So, it is best to avoid the situation in the first place. But I understand that those big waves can be lots of fun for an experienced swimmer or surfer.
Our weather is foggy in the morning and then the sun is burning it off and we will have that beautiful blue sky again. It is summer time after all. We just sit on the beach and watch it all, and we are going for a walk as well and then we will have a picnic.
This sounds good, I wish that would to this more often. We have always so much to do....
