A day off

Starting with a trip to the gallery and tea room at Calgary to view the wonderful photography exhibition by blipper Treshnish. Loved it. We had a very good coffee - cappacino please, not too much milk - and chat with M and a look at the gyrocopter, it looks great fun. Onto check out the recently fenced machair - its flourishing - and onto the beach, later more chat chat chat with friends we needed to catch up with and so on........

This afternoon a meeting with Mr Russell the local MSP over our concern about the possible use of Neonicotinoids on the area around here. The hill behind us is due to be replanted with trees, Sitka spruce, with a threat to treat the plant with Gazelle, a nasty sounding chemical. The hillside is a watershed for any number of private water supplies, we don't have mains water hence the concern although the threat to wildlife is just as important.

Afterwards a visit to friends for a tea and chat about the day.

Why don't we do this more often.
