Thursday

Spent the day with Lewis and Mum. He wanted to go see animals, so we headed out to Craigie's Farm.
On Lewis' demand we had snack in the café first, which was welcome, I was desperate for a coffee.
We then played outdoors, on the slide, see saw, balancing blocks and finally he got a shot on the much loved old disused tractor.
Our next stop was the animals. We saw the horses, sheep, goats and their babies, and finally the chickens. Lewis wanted to feed them grass like the other children were doing. Unfortunately he picked up a nettle leaf. That was him crying for ages. Felt so sorry for him.
We then went to pick some strawberries but they were wanting £3 ahead, so £9 to pick strawberries! No thank you.

We drove onto South Queensferry, had lunch then  had an ice cream on a bench watching the trains going over the railbridge. (extra)

Back home and had tea with Steven and Kelly. Before Lewis went to bed, he sat on my knee and said with no prompting 'thank you for taking me to Craigie Farm'. He was so sweet.

I'd do anything for that little boy.
